Mordecai Alba is a 14-year-old writer and a high school freshman. They have received several Scholastic Gold Keys and a Silver Key, and placed in the “I Too, Am Pittsburgh” poetry contest. Previously, their writing has appeared in Ogma Magazine, as well as school-specific publications. Common themes in their work include personal identity, anarchism, and escapism. They hope to make academia and its associated literature a more accessible and inclusive domain, and study anthropology and philosophy in their free time.
